I'm Guilty!

I have taken time off from "discovering" items, stories, educational events, etc…because I finally set in motion my kitchen remodel. I've wanted to make changes since I moved to my new home over nine years ago, but my life was too busy and complicated to do much of anything domestic while I owned the TRLD conference. But as you know, that all changed last Spring when I sold the TRLD conference. Being retired after so many years of total immersion has been a bit difficult but I am slowly becoming acclimated.

The kitchen remodeling was worth every bit of time, battles with all the dust from the construction, and many microwave meals! My new kitchen was finished a few days before Thanksgiving – just in time for me to cook a turkey in my new oven and try cooking by the convection method. The experts are right; it does take less time and a lower heat by the convection method, AND the turkey was very moist. My son Craig, and granddaughters, Alana and Ariel, joined my daughter Cathy and me. We all have a lot to be thankful for and shared our thoughts that day.

Before I knew it, I was mailing Holiday cards, finishing up Christmas shopping, and Cathy and I set up our traditional Dickens Village (we didn't have a tree this year).

We hope you have a very Happy New Year!
